Mechanics of Deformable Firm Bodies
MMP302

Description
In a rigid deformable body, stresses and displacements occur under the influence of loads, which the future engineer must be able to predict, as well as assess according to the situation. In order to acquire these skills, the mathematical model of a rigid deformable body, calculation scheme, various methods (including the Variation method and the Ritz method), stress theories and analysis of deformations are performed. As a result, the student learns to determine the mechanical properties of various objects, including bars, slabs and shells. The course pays special attention to the use of computer software, GEM method for analysis of mechanical properties.
