Description

This course investigates fracture mechanics. Fractures in practice occur due to many factors including uncertainties in the loading or environment conditions, defects in the materials, inadequacies in design, and deficiencies in construction or maintenance. Variety of techniques are considered in this course to investigate and analyse fracture problem, and insight into computational techniques to solve fracture problems is given.
