Finite Element Method in Mechanical Design

Description
 The main objective of this course is the application of the finite element method in the analysis and design of various components and structures. The topics that will be covered include trusses, frames, plain stress and plane strain solids, axisymmetric solids, plates, shells, 3D solids, modeling techniques, P- and H- convergence, bodies in mesh etc. The students will make extensive use of appropriate FE software.
