Metal forming and Manufacturing Systems

Description
Lecture
-        Basic terms: production technology; production economics.
-        Means of production: machines and machine systems in industrial production technology of mass-produced components; assemblies of machine tools;
-        Control technology of modern machine tools;
-        Machine systems: separating production technology; forming production technology. 
-        Historical development of forming technology;
-        Theoretical basics: basic concepts of forming technology; metallographic basics; consideration of the flow curve; plasticity theories.
-        Forming technology processes: solid forming processes, sheet metal forming processes.
-        Forming technology machines and systems:
-        Application examples of forming technology on concrete components. Forming Technology Laboratory
-        In-depth explanation of the theoretical principles, the functions and possible applications of various forming processes; implementation of various forming processes on suitable machines and systems in the laboratory.
-          e.g. upsetting, impact extrusion, deep drawing, thread rolling and gear rolling, bending, cold and hot forming, machines and systems for forming technology, quality assurance in forming technology, etc..
