KINEMATICS AND DYNAMICS OF MECHANISMS
92868

Description
On successful completion of the course, students will be able to: • Analyze the structure of a mechanism constituted by rigid links and flexible links; • Explain basic concepts of Kinematics and Dynamics and how they can be used to analyze planar and spatial mechanisms; • Basics of synthesis and optimization procedures; • Basics of mechanical components such as: cam, gears, indexing mechanisms, belt transmission, clutches, brakes; • Analyze the mechanical behavior of a system and plot the results using MATLAB language. • Develop applications of mechanisms by using microcontrollers low-cost sensors with open-source projects. At the end of the course students have a deep understanding of Kinematics and Dynamics of mechanisms and main components of mechanical systems that are fundamental for industrial automation, mastering kinematic and dynamic principles that play a role in modern automatic machines.
