Production Operation Management II

Description
COURSE OBJECTIVES: The aim of the course is to extend the accumulated basic
knowledge and present to students some popular and modern applied aspects of the
management of production and operations through a number of management techniques
associated with quantitative analyses, optimization, simulation studies in decision making,
financial analyses of production costs, deployment and capacity utilization, CAD / CAM /
CAE computer technology, etc.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course is aimed at expanding students' knowledge on
managing the production operations and develop their skills for quantitative analysis and
decision making about the production activities through modern management techniques and
computer applications.
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- identify production costs and analyze them in order to increase operating profits;
- builds models and make decisions about new products and relevant inventory policy;
- optimize the loading of equipment, the replacement and deployment of production
capacity.
