Module OverviewThe aim of this module if to Apply the basic principles and properties of geo-material to the design of geotechnical structures. Based on the knowledge of the basic engineering properties and behaviour of soil, this module will demonstrate how to determine a soil profile, analyse slopes, and design shallow foundations and simple retaining structures. Current standards and codes of practices will be referenced when appropriate.
