Description
AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE: At the end of the course the students are expected to know and be able to apply the basic statistical and probabilistic methods for achieving, sustaining and improving of quality, as well as some of the systems for quality control and management available in the national and international standards.
DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The main topics concern: Introduction, responsibilities and principles of quality, Process spread and capability analysis, Statistical control charts for variables and attributes, Acceptance sampling, Correlation, dispersion and regression analysis in quality control, Reliability and Weibull analysis, Taguchi approach, Quality standardization and certification, Quality of electrical energy, Quality of software products, Quality cost; Software tools and languages – Matlab/Octave, Statgraphics, etc.
