Module Overview
Introduction to the basic theory and principles of fluid Mechanics. This introductory course gives the student a strong foundation on the basic theory and the practical application of the theory to civil engineering problems. The students demonstrate competence through laboratory work and terminal exam performance.
The module equips the student with the knowledge necessary to tackle basic, but well-defined, problems in incompressible fluid mechanics. This involves the basic definitions required to describe fluid systems and the application of first principles to solve well-defined real world problems.
