Computer Technologies in Telecommunications (master)

Description
Information technology is changing the way we live, do business, interact with others, communicate with machines, pay for products, and accomplish other tasks.  
The course explores data analysis, database management, containers, web technologies, cloud computing, as well as security, and service-oriented architectures. The course covers how these technologies are transforming businesses and creating innovative solutions in the domain of telecommunications. The course will include examples from real-world products and applications with hands-on problem solving. 

Course contents:
  • Introductory lecture. Goal, objectives and methodology of the course. 
  • Fundamentals of data acquisition and analysis. 
  • Database design and management. 
  • Virtualization and containerization techniques.
  • Web-development fundamentals. 
  • Cybersecurity mechanisms and principles.
  • Cloud platforms for modern computing. 
  • Telecommunications Network Management. 
  • Closing lecture.
