At the end of the course the student should be able to:
R1) Define and explain the fundamentals that govern electrochemical corrosion stacks, as well as the causes that may originate them.
R2) Determine the kinetics of the corrosion reaction.
R3) Recognise and list the characteristics, causes and consequences of the different types of corrosion that may occur in industry.
R4) Define the characteristics of the necessary corrosion prevention and protection methods, as well as know how to select the most appropriate method/s in each situation.
R5) Use electrochemical techniques for the study and selection of corrosion resistant materials.
R6) Distribution and performance of tasks within a working team to carry out a technical report of a failure in service.
