At the end of the course the student should be able to:
1. identify and distinguish between the different elements of quality in industry: standards, methodologies, systems, certifications and accreditations.
2. Apply the main tools for the continuous improvement of quality.
3. Form and lead quality circles.
4. Carry out continuous quality improvement projects including the phases of measurement, analysis and monitoring.
5. Assess quality in design, manufacturing and testing.
6. Assess the feasibility and reliability of production processes.
7. Narrow down process parameters using design of experiments techniques.
8. Design and analyse statistical process control plans by means of different types of control charts.
9. Design and analyse acceptance plans by sampling.
10. Capture in spreadsheets the different developments and problems obtaining graphs that help to present solutions in the design of experiments, control charts and sampling techniques.
