ALL YEAR COURSE
1. Apply general equations and approximate specific correlations for the calculation of aerodynamic drag and lift forces on flat plates, airfoils and 3-D bodies.
2. Calculate duct losses under different flow regimes: compressible and incompressible, laminar and turbulent, channel flow.
3. Design pressure pipe networks and sewerage networks and analyse them by means of tools and/or computer programs.
4. Describe the characteristics and function of each of the elements that make up hydraulic machines. Types of hydraulic machines. Characteristic curves and application in pumping, ventilation or turbine installations.
5. Designing pumping installations. Calculating and selecting the most suitable pump and regulation system.
6. Design, analyse and calculate fluid power systems. Pneumatic systems and compressed air networks. Oil-hydraulic systems.
7. Select the most suitable instrumentation for the measurement of different fluid magnitudes.
8. Participate and collaborate actively in a working group.
