Description
At the end of the course Physics II, the student should be able to:
1. List the basic principles of electromagnetic fields.
2. Solve characteristic problems related to discrete and continuous distributions of electric charge.
3. Apply the concept of electrostatic energy and calculate it in simple problems.
4. Identify the concepts of electric current, Ohm's law and electromotive force. Be able to solve simple problems involving direct current circuits.
5. Distinguish the differences between magnetism in a vacuum and in the presence of matter.
6. Solve characteristic problems related to charges and currents in an external magnetic field, as well as calculate magnetic fields of simple configurations.
7. List the basic principles of electromagnetic induction.
8. Solve problems involving simple alternating current circuits.
9. Distinguish the differences between electromagnetic waves and mechanical waves.
10. Identify the fundamental principles governing the phenomena of light and its propagation in free space.
11. Correctly handle laboratory apparatus and prepare scientific reports on practical work.
