Description
1. Seismological and engineering study of earthquakes.
2. Seismic response of the linear system with 1 degree of dynamic freedom (1-GLD) subjected to rigid base translation.
3. Seismic response spectra, pseudo spectra and design spectra.
4. The seismic response of the linear system with "n" degrees of dynamic freedom (N-GLD) subjected to rigid base translation.
5. Methods of seismic analysis of structures: Lateral force method and the Modal response spectrum analysis.
6. The effect of the torsional component.
7. Method of biographical calculation of structures – Non-linear Pushover Method (POM).
8. POM - Equivalence of N-GLD systems to a 1-GLD system.
9. MPO - Obtaining the Capacity Curves and Demand Curves.
10. MPO - Determining the target displacement and the probable damage state.
11. Theoretical principles and applications for nonlinear dynamic analysis methods.
12. Displacement based seismic design methods (Direct displacement Based Design).
13. Passive anti-seismic protection systems. Active anti-seismic protection systems.
14. Structural systems with self-centering properties.
